All users –
Starting the second week of May (following IMR Materials Week), we will start our second annual Safety Retraining Program. All users in the Columbus area will be required to attend a session. For users outside of the Columbus area we will make arrangements to hold a convenient session when they visit campus. We currently have a preliminary schedule of sessions that lasts through the first week of June.
This year there will be two options:
a) Users that began work at NTW or NSL later than May 2013 will be required to receive the full ~50 minute talk, with some updates, as last year.
b) Users that went through the training last year will have an option of attending a “new” and presumably shorter session that will include the Hazcomm training but will likely focus on “timely” lab safety issues (safety updates, what we are doing well, what needs to be improved, etc.).
As we did last year, we will offer sessions in campus, out at NTW, and at various times throughout the day including some evening sessions. We will be announcing the schedule, and how to sign up for a session, late next week.
Thanks for your help in making IMR-affiliated OSU laboratories safe.
